Frank Montis says about SCARBEE CLASSIC EP-88S:
"I was already a big fan of Scarbee and used the Vintage Keys a lot, in productions as well, especially the tines piano. I own a Mark V and a Rhodes 54, a Vintage Vibe 44 and used to own a Mark I. I absolutely adore those instruments and I think I've tried every plugin out there to get that same feeling or even close without actually getting close.

EP-88 got me there. It's simply the best sounding ( and feeling ) EP I have ever played. It has the realism I am looking for and exactly the sound I adore, which allows me to be creative without looking for a better sound or more realism all the time.

BIO

Frank Montis grew up in a music-loving family. Frank was exposed to the sounds, groove and feel of the hammond greats at an early age. After working as a session musician and playing with a piano trio for a couple of years he was asked to record Hammond organ and vocals on a track of the Dutch formation The Jazzinvaders.

For some time Frank had been writing his own poppy/jazzy songs in the background and due to his collaboration with the Jazzinvaders he met saxophone player Rolf Delfos and they started a group called DelMontis in 2010. Before releasing their first album in 2011 Frank started playing with the Dutch group The Soul Snatchers and Laura Vane & The Vipertones with the UK based soul and funk singer Laura Vane, which resulted in a couple of albums with Frank on vintage keys and the organ of course.

In September 2011 ‘Straightforward Fasciation’ by DelMontis was released with Frank’s songs, vocals, keys and a guest appearance of Laura Vane on the title track and early 2014, Frank was asked to join the well-known Dutch group ‘Gare Du Nord’ as co-composer and keyboardist. In the meantime Frank’s fascination with the Hammond organ has grown to a level where feels that he wants to specialize in mainly playing the organ, mixing the groove and feel of the music he grew up with and other influences he was exposed to, throughout his life.
